AUG. 2012 Korean Film Archive
“Korean Film Archive” – the exciting project at The Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) in London has finally been completed. 12 sliding panels, each holding a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, represent information panels demonstrating the effect of “scanning” and “displaying”. Vertical LED lighting to the edge of the sliding panel makes the scanning effect on the LED back lit poly- carbonate panels realising the concept. The polycarbonate cladding to the existing walls together with the sliding/folding/ static panels on them firmly defined and established the space of the Film Archive in the open plan floor. In addition, the lit panels extend the experience of the space beyond its physical boundaries. Samsung has sponsored the project contributing the Galaxy Tab 2 units and the LFD (Large Format Display) screen.
